Experience the Magic is an awesome program offered to homeless or troubled youth who may not be able to participate in the Explore Music! Series through a school. This is a three-tiered program which

1) Brings youth and their families from area shelters to experience live symphonic music;

2) Gives them back stage passes to meet Dr. Cobbs and the musicians; gives them the opportunity to meet the lighting and sound crew, to Learn what a career in music is Like; to hold an instrument; and,

3) If a youth is so inspired, arranges availability of an instrument and music lessons.

Music often provides a positive avenue of self-expression that may not otherwise be available to these youth. This program is supported solely by grants and individual contributions.
